So, a few weeks ago Bakerella posted the absolutely cutest cake pops to celebrate Easter, and I was prompted to rush immediately into the kitchen to make some of my own. I realize that this was weeks ago, but my photo editor (ahem) was a little behind the ball, so I just now have pictures to share.

I ended up making a bunch of little people. They were fun.
We’re in Arkansas this weekend for my stepson’s birthday, and made some cakepops together earlier. Bunny rabbits and flowers, for mother’s day, of course!
Here’s another pic:

Hello Sugar Punk,
These look neat and if I were wanting to make them or something like them. Where would I find the sticks and the candy coating (according to Bakerella’s site)? Also I guess the decorative items? Is there any place around that sells edible ink or something like what was used to make the sheep?

You can find all of that stuff at pretty much any hobby store – Michael’s, or AC Moore, or Hobby Lobby. Anyplace that carries Wilton products, really. If you have a local cake shop that sells candy materials (I miss mine!), they would carry it also. You can mail-order from a bazillion web sites. As for the candies, I just used what I had on hand for decorating xmas cookies; was planning to hit a dollar store to get more variety.

I’m in the Durham/Chapel Hill area. I’ll see if Michael’s or AC Moore carry the candy coating to melt. Not sure where Hobby Lobby is. Thanks!

Great! The AC Moore tends to have the candy melts for cheaper than Michaels, but both of them carry it (and lollipop sticks as well). Good luck!

Believe me, the five-year-old I tested them on wholly approves.
